Its been a while now since ive posted any news on here… and i have to say that ive missed it. It got difficult updating the blog in indonesia and this gave me an excuse to stop completely. Something which i now regret. I stopped making notes of what happened on my journey through australia and while they still seem fresh in my memory im hoping that i can get them down on paper in the book that im writing.
The book will be a reworking of my blog, something to inspire readers to get up off their arses and chase there dreams. Traveling has really changed me as a person and i hope that by telling my story i will fully understand its overall affect on me. Its interesting to think of me before i left england. I laugh at how naive i was to the world we live in, thinking that i already new everything about who i was and what i wanted in life.
Ive been on the road around 630 days now. Just reading that back sounds insane. Imagine 630 days of not seeing your parents or close friends, your street or even your home country. If that seems daunting reconsider the thought – now think of 630 days of fun and adventure. As hard as it has been at times to think of the distance between my family its inevitably been a real adventure. The exciting part is that its not even over.
This first adventure has broadened my horizons. Its made me realise who i am, what im capable of and what i wish to do next in this life. I now truly feel that the world is literally in the palms of my hands and new adventures await in every corner.
As im sitting here in brisbane at work with not much to do i thought i would attempt to give you a breif history of my first australian adventure. So prepare yourself for a snippit of life down under with Edd, bruce, Jo mangle, Mick Dundee and a young kid called Jamie Skinner… (photos may not be included as the company im working for doesnt allow photo posts. I guess ill just have to use words to describe it all.)
P.S if it doesnt happen then it got real busy here! lol
